Dear God,

Small things, small things can bring great faith. Just yesterday my covenant group talked about small things that really aren't small things at all.

During my quiet devotional time, you brought simple, small things to my mind.  Small things with big meaning and value.  As I prepared special homemade foods for our grandson and his little family, I thought of all the beautiful colors of food, their textures and their amazing flavors.  The way it all comes together, blending and companioning so marvelously.  All this you created; who could do the same?

When I made homemade vegetable beef soup, there were green beans, orange carrots, white potatoes, red tomatoes and juice, black pepper, white salt, brown mushrooms, stew meat and broth, and yellow mustard.  All this amazing color in one pot with a flavor and texture so heartwarming and so, so good.  A small thing took me right back to you.

Thank you
for faith
in a pot.
Thank you
for the extreme
you go
to bless us
with great beauty.
Thank you
for love
expressed every day.

Love, Andrea
