Dearest God,

"There is a sweetness in God's mercy," so the song goes.  I know it to be true.  For 51 minutes and 32 seconds my daughter and her daughter and I talked, laughed, and teased one another.  A year ago it would not have happened.  Barriers, high and wide obstacles stood in the way but today the door to your mercy opened wide and we stepped inside and found you waiting.  Sweet mercy!

Holy God,
it is true
all things
are possible
with you.
You hold
the key
to mercy,
forgiveness, grace
and hope.
Thank you
for all these.
I experienced them
all today.
