Dear God,

So often we take for granted all that is normal and regular in our lives.  Yet, in this strange, unprecedented time, all that has been is not all that is right now.  Our circumstances push us to rethink life and the way we practice it.

Tonight two of my daughters and their children played a game on Zoom.  They invited my husband and me to play.  As I now reflect upon our time together, I realize how wonderful it was to see their faces, watch them laugh, give funny answers to funny questions, tease one another and to show love.  Oh my gosh as I think of it now I feel the gift they gave us and I am warmed all through my body, mind and spirit.  How I love and miss them.  I long to hug them and to weep for the gift.

You are God.  You are my dwelling place, O Father.  In you I find all the gifts of life and I am so filled with gratitude.

Blessed are you,
Most Holy One.
Teach us
to be aware
and mindful
of life
so we
do not miss
any of
the gifts.
Receive my praise,
Loving God,
receive my praise.

Love, Andrea
