Dear God,

Every time we look down in discouragement, help us look up to you, Almighty and Compassionate God.  When we close our eyes to what is going on around us, help us open our eyes to faith.  With you, O God, we are enabled to do what is seemingly impossible.

Although we live in darkness at the moment, the light still shines bright.  Faith helps us see it, feel it and know it.  Hope is still believing and stepping forward into the future knowing the light is behind us, before us, beside us, above us and below us.  Your light will lead us, dear Lord, always and forever, no matter the situation.

Light of the World God,
we dwell
with you
in the light
and in
the darkness.
We are thankful
for your
living presence.
Shine brightly,
O God,
so we
do not lose
our way
in the darkness.
