Dear God,

I continue to hear your voice as you speak through all who are doing good in the world.  When I see and hear little children say endearing things to health care workers, kind people offering words of encouragement to the weary and downtrodden and many generous souls offering help to the hungry, I know I hear your voice.  Your voice is the voice of mercy, love and healing.  You are offering yourself to all who need you and right now that is the whole world.

We can even hear your voice when we too provide words of hope to others.  We can be your voice in the midst of angry voices, hurting voices and pleading voices.  We need to be.

Holy God,
speak to us
your words
of compassion.
Everyone is hurting,
O Lord,
everyone is grieving
for all
the dead
and dying,
the sick
and weak
and all
who are afraid.
Be the voice
of strength
to us,
Heavenly Father,
and help us
be the same
to our neighbors
near and far.

Love, Andrea
