Dear God,

We don't walk the journey of life alone.  All along the pathway, you are present and reaching out.  When we are afraid, you offer comfort.  When we are lonely, you offer friendship.  When we are lost, you help us find a new way.

During this pandemic, looking for faith among seeds haphazardly sprinkled on top of soil will not help.  It is only when we take shovel in hand and dig down deep, deeper and deeper will we find spiritual nutrients.  Only there will we find treasures in the rich, rich soil of your love.  The process alone will establish a new pattern where we finally realize and acknowledge that faith is not a surface exercise but rather a deep one, an intentional, earnest effort to find deep resources of hope, comfort, help, peace and faith.  And you do not disappoint.

Guide us deeper,

show us how
to dig.
