Dear God,

Only you can change us!  Only you can turn our hearts, minds and souls to you!  Only you can redirect us toward healing, hope and joy.

This morning I was angry, really angry.  I was filling up with resentment, bitterness and hostility.  As I began writing to you, I felt this wash of loving mercy come over me.  I felt it dissolving me of all that was not me.  I felt love filling the places where hatred had taken up residence.  I felt loved, challenged and convicted.  I knew it was your work and I was willing to let go, surrender into your loving hands.  I knew I was returning to you and I was happy, very happy.

Lord, thank you
for taking away
all those things
that drag us down.
Thank you
for bringing healing
and hope.
Thank you
for transforming us.
