Dear God,

Cool weather whispered the name Autumn and I smiled remembering the way you create the seasons.  Nature listens and follows the prescript design.  Summer is ending and Fall is near.

You constantly remind us how we are people of change.  We were never created to be static people.  We are to grow and change like the seasons.  Summer is a time to revel in the beauty of growth, color and blossom.  But summer knows it is temporary.  Autumn will come dying back all that was glorious in the summer.  It too will radiate with color.  However, it is a time to let go, surrender what was to what is next.  

If we listen to the message of each season, of summer and growth, of fall and death, of winter and hibernation and of spring and new life, we have great opportunities to more fully move into the person you have designed each of us to be.  When we trust you in the emotional, psychological and spiritual seasons, we can rise to new heights, discover new paths and find our way to greater lessons, wisdom and faith.  Who would not want to take the journey?

Everlasting and Eternal God,

you created us

in the beginning

of time.

Now is

the time

for a 

a tune up.

Reshape us

for the

new season

of life,

I pray.
