Dear God,

The quiet of the morning brings my spirit to life!  In the silence I find the sacred.  I drink in the wonders of your creation knowing in it, I discover you.

This morning it is the yellow magnolia tree that stands just outside the kitchen window that speaks to me.  The huge blossoms are just beginning to unfurl and for the first time in years there are many buds on the tree.  What is it that changed all that?

Perhaps it is the reward the tree experienced after a year of difficulty in the nation.  Because I was not in Maine to take care of it, it sat all alone without tending.  And when I was there, I tended to other plants, bushes and trees.  Yet, this year, it is blessing like never before.  My heart swells in gratitude and praise.

Thank you,
O Lord,
for my
exquisite, yellow
magnolia tree.
How beautiful
she is.
Thank you
for every blossom
intended to bless.

Love always, Andrea
