Dear God,

How do we keep hope alive when everything around us seems hopeless?  Right now there are many who are feeling such despair.  How do we help them, O God?

What is hope anyway?  Is hope a desire outcome?  Is it a desire fulfilled?  Is it a predetermined answer?  Or is hope something else altogether?

It seems to me hope is trusting you to hold us when life is in progress.  Whatever happens, hope means you are with us 24/7.  We are not alone.  Our situation may change or not but your presence with us in any situation means we face it with you.  Hope holds us, loves us, comforts us, assures us, repairs us, graces us, blesses us and inspires us.  When all else is loss, hope remains.
