Dear God,

I watched as the perky, red cardinal hid inside the cherry tree just outside my study window.  As I watched him hop from branch to branch, I reflected upon the creative changes the tree has experienced over the last year.  I remember her very bare branches last winter but also the spring day when the first green showed through.  Then there were the pink blossoms and the fullness of green leaves as the branches grew.  Today as I look, I see where small, red berries have replaced those exquisite flowers.  The newest visitor to the tree has much to celebrate as he pecks at the scrumptious delights.

Only you, Creator God, have the imagination, creative spirit and unfathomable power to create a tree that produces flowers and berries.  Only you desire to feed all your creatures.  Only you put forth such love into the universe.  Only you.

Thank you,
Holy God,
for all
your loving work.
Thank you
for the birds
and the delight
they give.
Thank you
for the
special time
I spent
with the birds
and you.

Love, Andrea
