Dear God,

Today was an interesting day, O God, as I drove the final miles home.  One thousand fifty-eight miles from Indiana to Maine.  Once again, I gave you thanks for seeing me safely home.

Along the way today you brought to mind those issues in my life that I had thought for years were impossible.  I never dreamed I could travel alone and actually get to my destination.  I never dreamed I could face down breast cancer.  I never dreamed I could enroll in college and seminary and complete two degrees.  I never dreamed I could become a pastor and preach standing before a congregation.  I never dreamed I could believe in myself as a beloved child of God.  All these, O Lord, are because of you.  It was your belief in me, your love for me and your power to help me overcome my doubt, fear and unbelief.  It was you, Almighty, Powerful and Compassionate God.

Thank you
for daily gifts.
Thank you
for courage
and strength,
the kind
that originate
in heaven.
Thank you
for actually
giving them
to me.

Love always, Andrea
