Dear God, 

Although we may make plans for our daily life, we need always remember there are times when our plans will go awry.  We can become frustrated, angry and resentful.  However, there may be a wondrous surprise awaiting us.

We like to think we are masters of our own lives and for sure we can be.  But do we really want to?  Do we want to regiment every hour of our life?  Do we want to fill every moment with our own desires?  Or do we want to begin each day with a prayer for your will, O Lord, because if we do, we leave room for your movement in our life.  There will be moments of silence, awe and wonder.  In the midst of these holy moments, you can speak to us.  You can take us on adventures, journeys of faith and even lead us down unfamiliar paths that can reveal amazing treasures.

Lead us,

O God,

lead us.

Show us

the way

to peace

and hope

and joy.

Guide us

by faith

to you,

I pray.
