Dear God,

Tonight my heart was heavy for the Ukranian people.  How can people be so cruel, unjust and greedy?  How can you kill innocent people, especially children?  I simply cannot conceive this reality!  

What is so deep within us that we think we can kill so easily?  Is evil so deep and deadly in each of us that we can turn on a dime and do what we want to others without provocation or cost?  

I have always believed love is deeper yet but why do some stop at evil and never go deeper.  How can we move to love and never stop at evil's doorstep?

Change us,

transform us,

remake us,

Holy and Loving God.

We need cleansing.

We all

hurt others.

We are

all guilty.

Help us,

Lord,

I pray.
