Dear God,

I am a Mary-Martha kind of girl.  I am always busy.  I like to do things.  When I am productive, I feel alive and well.  But at other times, I just want to sit at your feet.  I want to be silent.  I want to listen.  I want to dwell with you.  During those moments dwelling is enough.  Your presence is enough.  Your love is enough.

How can I become more Mary than Martha, O God?

Restore and renew

my inner compass

where I get

my direction

from you,

O Lord.

Point me

in your direction.

Guide me

along your path,

I pray.
