Dear God,
I cannot help but think of the light that continues to shine. As my friend and I made our way to the retreat cabin in southern Indiana I remembered the Christmas lights inside and out of the secluded cabin. Seemingly hundreds of tiny white lights glow. Over and over again I was reminded of the light of your son who said, "I am the light of the world."
Later as Cindy and I watched a Christmas movie, I received a text from a member of my covenant group who said her granddaughter was in the hospital after being in a car accident and her daughter in law was in her home with suicide ideations with a plan. All I could do was pray that the same light was around them burning bright to heal, love and help.
Light up
the whole world,
O God.
There is pain
and suffering everywhere.
Turn on
your light
wherever there
is darkness.
Lead us
to the light,
I pray.
Love, Andrea
