Dear God,

The blueberries are ripening ready for picking.  How exciting harvest is!  Your plan for creation is one of joy, hope and blessing.  I can't wait to drive to the farm and fill my basket.

Seasons come and go, O Lord, and they bring such luscious fruit and vegetables.  In the winter we can only see such goodies in glass jars but now they are fresh on the vine, a gift from your generous hand.  Right now everything is growing, drinking in the rain and the sunshine, both gifts from you.  Within days I will can blueberry jam to give away to family and friends.  While I pick I will pray for those receivers who absolutely love blueberries!

O God,

for your

divine power

that makes

all things grow.

for the blue

in blueberries, 

the black

in raspberries

and the red

of strawberries.

Thank you

for the

flavorful juice

of each berry.

Thank you

for the opportunity

to home can

and enjoy

in the wintertime!
