Dear God,

We held hands around the table.  Our covenant group with two spouses thanked you for your living presence and our opportunity to spend together in retreat.  We prayed, laughed, teased, told stories and planned our few days together.  We hugged one another as each moved to their separate space.

As I looked around the room, I remember one of my first conversations in our group thirty-plus years.  One member said, "It will be wonderful to have friends for fifty years."  I could not believe anyone would want to be my friend that long.  Yet, we have made it thus far thirty-four years.  

What a blessing love makes!  When it is agape love, it is even greater!  When we held hands in prayer before our meal, we were really holding hands with you, our Father.

dear God.

for love greater

than our own.

for touching,

loving and

inspiring us!

To you

all glory

is given!
