Dear God,

Summer is flying back so quickly.  Before we know it Autumn will be upon us.  Cooler weather, falling leaves and earlier night falls.  But even saying this, I hear your voice.  We do not live for tomorrow but for today.  If we are pondering weeks from now, we will miss the beauty and presence of today.

And so I look out the window at our summer flowers, purple and pink, yellow and white, mauve and peach, all so beautiful and radiant for today and I am thankful!

Thank you

for calling us home,

to this

present moment.

Remind us

to live

and appreciate today

and all

it has

to offer.

Forgive my

fleeting thoughts,

return me

to today.
