Dear God,

There is so much pain and suffering in our world.  Wars, violence, hatred, greed and fight for power all stifle the human soul and society.  They intend to harm, to break people down and to divide.  Why do we continue to accept leadership that continues to inflict such pain and suffering?

In creating the human race you called each one good.  You made us all from your image.  You placed yourself in each person.  You poured out your love on each one.  We are all bits and pieces of you.  So why have we become so much less?

O Lord,

take from us

all that

wants to destroy.

Help us

find our way

back to you.

Soothe our pain,

remake us

once again.

Help us 

also find

our way back

to each other.
