Dear God,

Waiting is oh so painful.  But everything gained by waiting is always more beautiful.  We wait during Advent to reach Christmas.  We wait nine months for a new baby.  We wait during Lent for Easter.  We wait.

But waiting is filled with possibility.  As we wait, we can increase our faith, build up our trust, refine our confidence, offer gifts to others and deepen our patience.  By the time we receive whatever gift awaits us, we can count the many treasures we gained along the way.

Guide us

to learn

at your knee.

Make us wise

as we wait.
