Dear God,

I look at the news that tells me people are being killed by our own president's policies.  Through the brokenness of his soul, lives are being destroyed.  My heart is crushed by such evil.  I weep for families who have lost loved ones, truly weep.

What can I say to you or them, O Lord?  How can we stop this horror?  How do we end the suffering caused by an evildoer who cannot get enough of whatever he needs so he continues his reign of terror?  

What can I offer to neighbors near and far?  How can I convey my love and respect during such horrible loss?  How can we find another way to be human?

O God,

rid us 

of evil

within our

own hearts.

Cleanse us

deep within.

Help us

find ways

to love

and care

for one another.
