Dearest God,

I walked down the center aisle moving closer and closer to the light illumining my way. The spectacular light shining through the magnificent stained glass warmed my spirit and drew me to the Light. I stood and received this Light in the form of bread and wine, the body and blood of Christ.

As I drove home following the morning mass, I thought of how the light just naturally shines, how it warms and illuminates, clarifies, revealing the divine pathway. Drawing me to it, it is like a beautiful dance step as I move toward you and you fill me sending me off in wondrous step patterns where my very footsteps reveal the light drawing others to you. Like the bread crumbs left by Hansel and Gretel, the light points back to its Source. How wondrous to imagine the extraordinary light patterns left by the feet of those who follow you.

Shine through me,
Great Light
of the World.
Draw me
into your light
washing away
all my darkness.
Illumine the paths
of all
your children
so we
can lead
each other
back to you,
I pray.

Love, Andrea
