My dearest God,

New ways lead to a new life. If I have learned anything, I have discovered that the ability to change can rearrange an old life.

My husband and I are altering our old life. We have adopted new habits and patterns that are making us new people. It's not that we threw out the baby with the bath water as the old saying goes; we simply have transformed ourselves and found that we like our new life together.

What dumbfounds me is the sacred opportunity you give us to adapt ourselves to familiar situations and conditions. You offer diverse perspectives on the same old, same old. A new peek at an old way can lead to a modification of what was and what is so that what will be will be different, perhaps more wholesome and holy and good.

You are
the power
behind every
good change
in our lives.
You shift
our lens,
pointing out
what we
could not
see before.
Then you
give us
a strength
and power
to move ourselves
in a
slightly new direction.
That's all
it takes
to make
us new.
What can
I say?

Love, Andrea
