Dear God,

I am blessed to be on a pilgrimage of faith with people around the world.  If I am not careful, I just imagine my own life of faith and forget there are millions on the same journey.  But not so this morning as the rich realization made faith even greater and more meaningful to me.

As I briefly looked at the stats of my blog (in reality it is my letters to you), I saw that friends from Slovenia, Germany, Russia, South Africa, Malaysia, and the US all joined me on the journey this week.  I paused for a moment, prayed for each one, and gave thanks.

I have always been mystified by your spiritual power that brings people together; perfect strangers become acquainted through special moments where your Holy Spirit is revealed.  There is something so awesome about that.  Many times in my life I have come across people in an airport, in the grocery, on a trail, at the store or post office who for some uncanny reason connected with me or me with them.  In those sometimes seconds or minutes, your spirit connects us, either providing a word of encouragement, hope, or simply peace.  At times it is to share something important happening in their/my life.  Because your spirit is ever present, it seems natural and good to come together, allowing your grace to do its work.  For whatever reason we have been brought together today, I give you my devotion and praise and prayers of thanksgiving.

Gracious God,
Loving Parent,
thank you
for making us
all children together.
Teach us
along this
journey of faith.
Help us
to notice
one another,
to pray,
and give thanks.
Rally us
in faith.
Help us
give comfort
to one another.
Guide us
to do
your loving will.

Love, Andrea
