Dear God,

Sometimes it is hard to connect.  When I can't get "online" I feel a distance.  How silly is that?  However, there are moments when I don't experience the close connection.  Although I can write a Word document and later paste it, it doesn't feel quite right.

It is very important for me to intentionally connect with you daily.  I want to begin my day and end it with you.  I want to draw close and remain close.  I don't want to drift or get scattered by following other paths or other interests.  Nothing is more vital to me than a link of faith with you.

I am aware that your living presence is accessible 24 hours a day.  When there is a gap or space between  us, I know it is not you who has moved.  When I don't pay close attention to my life with you, I can get off center and become disoriented.  My focus can change altering my life in some way.  All of a sudden I realize I got off course and I have to begin the trek back home.  And home is where I always want to be.

for the constancy
of your grace
that you extend
to us
when we
have taken ourselves
from your presence.
Keep me
close by,
I pray.
