My dearest God,
I can't help but marvel at your creation. The colors are spectacular! I've never seen so many blues! The sky, the sea, the flowers, the blue eyes of my grandchildren. How wonderful!
Today as I picked black raspberries from our patch, I couldn't help but give thanks for their color and texture, the way each berry forms itself on the stalk, and the way in which they blend with all the other berries to become jam, a rich deep purple, wine, and black. Royal colors, scents, and flavors! As the first snow flakes fall at the end of the year and I scurry to my pantry for a jar, I will close my eyes and slip a taste into my mouth remembering your goodness on a July day! And I will be grateful!
Wondrous Creator,
maker of all
that is good,
I am filled
with gratitude
for your generosity.
Thank you
for the gifts
of creation.
I am indeed grateful
for each one.
Love, Andrea
