Dear God,

As we sang the final hymn I slowly scanned the congregation permanently etching their faces onto my mind.  Saying goodbye is always difficult and I wanted to carry the friendly, hospitable, and loving people with me.

As I daily consider my blessings, I count the congregation of Church on the Cape as one of my many. Their spirit is yours, their kindness is yours, their mercy is yours, their mission is yours.  The ways in which they have reached out to my husband and me has been such a gift.  No church has blessed us more and they are 1,000 miles away.

Time and space do not erode the pictures and memories of those we love or who love us!  We are privileged to hold onto the lively souls that have made a significant impact on our lives.  Today I am rejoicing for all those beautiful people who have inspired me in any way.

for reminding me
of daily gifts.
Thank you
for your church
made up
of imperfect people
loving a perfect God.
Thank you
for special ones
that stand out
and remain close
to my heart.
