Dearest God,

True healing comes from you.  Tissues come together and heal because you have placed your healing power in our physical DNA.  Emotional healing is possible because you have placed grace in our soul.  Spiritual healing comes about when the divine-human connection takes place.  Your hands are like no other.

Every part of us needs your healing when things are not right, when we are sick or lost and lonely.  We may think we are alone, adrift but ultimately we are not because you have placed yourself within us.  You are in our mind, body, and soul.

Today I found this to be true when my husband got a good news report from the doctor following open heart surgery more than a month ago.  He has healed well.  But I wonder if he would have healed as fast if not for the many prayers spoken on his behalf.  So many family and friends have offered faith-filled prayers to Harold.  They have lifted him up to you asking for help.  They have passed love from themselves to you and finally to him.  Healing has come by way of heaven.

Holy God,
Great Physician,
thank you
for the many
who have prayed.
Thank you
for the blessing
of healing.
Please, O Lord,
let these prayers
find their way
to others
who need
the same kind
of love,
I pray.
