Dear God,

The miracle of your handiwork continues to wow me!  When I witness first hand the movement of your spirit in a single human life, you take my breath away!

When we surrender ourselves into your hands, making the commitment of a lifetime, miracles become possible. When I think of biblical characters who trusted you, I can see how your spirit directed them toward the fulfillment of your plan for their lives.  But when I see the same thing happening to people I know, I realize once again how powerful and how beautiful a faith relationship is.

For years I have observed a battered, abused, and beaten-down woman whose parents should have been imprisoned decades ago.  But when faith was offered and she was able to discern the truth and reality of the greatest gift she has ever known, she rose up like the first flower of spring breaking through the crusty, dirty snow and ice.  When she placed her eyes on you, she discovered hope and courage.  Holding your hand tightly she moved through the painful past to an appreciation of the present.  She took steps toward you and began to build trust for the first time in her life.  She found you could be trusted...every time.  Now she is moving forward, throwing caution to the wind because she knows the tight grip she holds with you is enough to part the waters, making a path to the future.

This is your work, O Lord.  You are the might of her purpose, the air beneath her wings, and the song she sings.

Loving God,
thank you
for your
brilliant plan
for transformation.
Thank you
for the ability
to shake off
the horrors
of the past,
to breathe
in the
fresh air
of the present,
and to run
into the future
with bright hope,
peace, and joy.
You are God;
there is none
like you.

Love, Andrea
