Dear God,
You move us to pray for strangers far away. When something happens, particularly a catastrophe, you move our hearts to care in some small way. When I heard the Malaysian jetliner with 248 aboard was missing, I felt pain in my heart for the lost people, for their family and friends, and for all those designed to provide safe passage for people traveling from one place to another. I prayed then and I have kept on praying.
I am grateful you inspire us to care for one another! I am grateful you connect us as one human family on this planet. I am grateful your love is so powerful that it can cause a heart to skip, to feel the pain of another. Thank you for motivating us to reach out in some way. Thank you for entrusting each of us to use your gifts for compassionate care.
How many times
have others
cared for me
and mine?
Too many
to count.
Thank you
for moving me
to care
for those
half way
around the world.
Love, Andrea
