Dear God,

The truths that come from your Word challenge us to consider the ways we live our life in faith.  This morning I went to Mass at the Marie Joseph Spiritual Center.  I listened to your spirit as the priest spoke a few words about putting a new patch on an old cloth.  Strange, I have heard that scripture story many times but today I heard it anew.  How in the world can I expect a new way of being to change me when I continue to live old habits?

How refreshing it is when your Word comes alive for today!  The ancient stories still have power to prick and nudge us toward a new way of thinking.  As I heard the words of the priest this morning I realized the truth of my own sin.  I recognized the need for real change and I am grateful.

Speak your truth,
Holy Father,
so that
all of me
will listen.
Thank you
for the truth
that sets us free.

Love, Andrea
