Dear God,

Each day you hold out your cup of living water and a plate of fine bread.  You invite us to eat early in the morning even before we begin our day.  "Eat and drink," you say, "be full of me."  Filled with the food and drink of heaven, you ask us to let you lead us through our day.  In so doing all day long we see the sights of heaven, hear the call of eternity's joy, and touch the beauty of the holy sacred.  At bedtime we count the divine treasure that has been ours.

When we open ourselves to you, O Lord, you feed us.  You give us drink for our thirsty souls.  You guide us toward the sacred path given to those who want to walk with you, to make the pilgrim journey of faith.  You bless us with insight, signs of your presence, and an expectancy that comes with faith.  We discover once again that we are yours, children of the Living God.

Thank you
for faith
that reveals truths
we miss
when we fail
to walk intentionally
with you.
Thank you
for human delight
when we
find you
beside us.
Thank you
for your presence
that teaches,
guides, loves,
challenges, corrects,
and helps us.

Love, Andrea
