My dearest God,

Strangers became friends this morning over coffee.  A massage therapist, a holy yoga instructor, and I met together to talk about a retreat I plan to offer next summer by the ocean.  The more we talked the more faith became apparent.  As we talked about our specific gift and passion, we became excited by your presence among us.  We knew you had brought us together.  We hugged when we departed from one another.

As I reflected upon our time together, I realized once again how much you want to reveal yourself to us, how you want to lead us to deeper waters of faith, and how you want us to share the gifts of your spirit so that we might not only find joy in sitting in your living, loving presence but also open the door of joy to others.  Even as I think upon the memory, I am grateful.

Holy God,
move us
to your side.
Teach us
to listen
and watch.
Assist us
in the walk
of faith,
I pray.
