Dear God,

There is so much brokenness in our world, O Lord.  No matter which direction we look, we see trouble, pain, and suffering.  Worry, anxiety, and fear can grab hold of us leaving us paralyzed, unable to function.  The paralysis can lead us to hopelessness and despair.  Without hope it is difficult to live in faith.

In a world of chaos we can lose our footing.  We can feel unsafe and maybe we are in some way; yet, there is a place in our soul where no terrorist can take hold, where no one can rob or corrupt.  It is the place of peace where you reside. 

Hope is your business, O God.  You infuse us with hope when we trust even a tiny bit.  When we give you some part of our self in prayer, you whisper words of hope to us.  You help us rest easier.  You give us the breath of life.

Show us
the way
to peace
for all
earth's inhabitants.
Teach us
your way,
I pray.
