Dear God,

Epiphany, one of my favorite days of the year!  Epiphany, the journey of seekers to the manger.  Epiphany, the call to faith for anyone who desires a new look at the savior.  Epiphany, the time to give gifts to the One whose love for us is greater than all love elsewhere. Epiphany, now.

Something happens to us when we lay eyes on the savior.  Something stirs inside us, warming our hearts and filling our souls with a mysterious glory.  We blink our eyes in disbelief.  We listen and wait for something to break the silence.  We think it can't be possible that this holy one would appear before us because it is like nothing else we know.  When we realize the truth of this great gift, nothing can dissuade us from emptying our hearts at the foot of the manger.

Wondrous God,
star of night,
thank you
for the
awesome gift
of your spirit.
Thank you
for the story
of the
wise ones
who came searching
for you.
Thank you
for the miracle
of faith
that invites us
to come too.
What I have
to give
is so minute;
yet, it is
the best
I have.
I give you
my love
and my devotion.

Forever yours, Andrea
