Dearest God,
Moments of the holy appear out of nowhere. They come and bless, give hope and heal, and remind us you are ever present in every day life.
That simple red cardinal flying across the wintry white landscape was a such a moment of the holy, beauty too. I was taken aback, stopped in my tracks because it seemed the cardinal's message was a divine message. Stop, pause, reflect, think, celebrate, give thanks, and praise. And so I did.
You give us daily reminders of your life in us. You show us the way home, home to the sacred divine. You provide us moments of peace in hectic days, hope for when we feel hopeless or distressed, and bits of joy even when our situation is void of such a thing. But more importantly, you give us visible and audible signs of your living, loving presence in the now, today.
Help us
live more
in faith,
Holy God;
teach us how
to see
in the darkness.
Show us
the light.
Let it reflect
your presence
so we may
draw near.
Make us
a witness
to your
extraordinary grace.
Love, Andrea
