Dear God,
Faith brings people together, even strangers. She was looking for a companion fabric for a quilt she had made. I remarked how lovely the quilt was. Before long we were standing in between two rows of fabric sharing the wonders of your love.
This stranger told me about a dream that had awakened her one night. You had asked her to make a quilt based on all the names of Jesus in the bible. Over the course of the next few weeks the quilt patches had come to her, one by one with colors and fabric patterns. She invited seven women from her church to join her in the holy mission. Months later the quilt was finished. Then you called her to share your story by taking the quilt on the road. She made a website and started her new trek of faith sharing the mystery of your call, the quilt, and your holy names. All this was possible because she had read a book about saying yes to you. Two weeks after finishing the book, she received the dream.
As we shared our faith in you, we both knew you had brought us together. You had given us the opportunity to offer our story to one another realizing our story was really your story. Before we departed we hugged and gave thanks.
Holy God,
wonder of all wonders,
thank you
for all
you do.
Thank you
for your kindness,
your mystery,
and your story.
Thank you
for giving
each of us
a part
of your story.
I love you.
Forever yours, Andrea
