Dearest God,

Bending, there is no greater act of faith than bending, bending to your will.  Bending is normally not our first choice.  We like to plan and orchestrate our own lives; yet, those who seek your face and want to walk the pilgrim walk, know bending is one of the first tasks to learn in the faith journey.

I remember watching trees during a storm.  As the wind blew, the branches and limbs lifted and fell sometimes moving sideways and odd ways but they did not break.  After the storm when the calm came there were a few twigs on the ground but the heart of the trees remained intact.  Their ability to move saved them.

As the March and April storms come to our neck of the woods, the trees will be taxed once again.  In the springtime of faith we too will have to face the winds of challenge, fear, and change.  As we trust you to lead us, we too will have opportunity to bend before you, master and creator of the cosmos and all her children.

Thank you
for the chance
to bend
before you,
O God.
Thank you
for making us able
to bend
and to move
with your
spirit power.
Thank you
for challenges
that strengthen us
for stormy weather.

Love always, Andrea
