Dear God,

I look at the names of countries where people read our letters.  I reflect on them and pray for they are each a pilgrim just like me.  It gives me joy to know we are pilgrims on the same journey.  We do not need to know each other personally but it is so good to know we are on similar paths toward the One who calls us forward.

Pilgrims on a journey together...the vision alone speaks comfort to me as I consider what it means to walk alone and to walk with others.  You give us to one another.  You provide family to us no matter how far apart we are.  One is not better than another; each is valued by you.  As we bump into each other along the way, we can pause and give thanks, learn old and new lessons, and move forward with a friend.  We widen the road making room for others to join us as we seek you together.  What blessings are ours.

thank you
for spiritual friends.
Thank you
for making us
pilgrims of faith.
Thank you
for teaching us,
guiding us,
picking us up,
and sending us
on our way
with friends.
