Dear God,

The day dawns bright when we gather to worship you.  As we prepare ourselves before we leave home, we have the joy of knowing we will be with you.  We will sing your song, read your word, and hear your message.  We will discover your living presence through the prayers, the silence, the fellowship, the music, and the surrender of our hearts. 

Although sometimes we do not do our best preparing to meet you, you still meet and greet us.  You still reach out and touch us.  The more open our hearts are, the more we come to sense you close.  As we step inside your home we come to realize the man of Galilee is with us just as he was with the people so long ago.  There is something so wonderful about Sunday mornings with Jesus.

Holy God,
thank you
for blessed Sundays.
Thank you
for gracing us
with your presence.
Keep our feet
on the path
leading to you,
I pray.
