Dear God,
Wounds, we all carry them. Some are on the outside for the whole world to see. But many more are on the inside, hidden away from the populous. They carry names like fear, anxiety, sorrow, humiliation, and self hatred. When we walk alone with wounds, we feed them daily. We carry them forever unless we give them to the extended hand, waiting.
You showed your disciples your healing power. To those who came and asked, you healed in some way. You touched the souls of many through your words, your compassion, and your grace. Even when you left us, you promised to remain with us.
As we walk life's journey we need not cover up our wounds for we are all wounded in some way or another. We are meant to care for one another. We are designed to heal through prayer, compassionate care, encouragement and support. Who heals better than another wounded soul who has been healed? You gave us your healing touch so we could reach out.
Thank you
for healing power
that gives
new life.
Thank you
for human touch
that has
its own
healing power.
Thank you
for love
that never
leaves us.
Always, Andrea
