Dear God,
Often you remind us to live the life of the new self, the one who is wholly committed to you, loves their neighbor, and lives the deep life. You remind us to follow you, trusting you to lead us to faith, hope, and peace. You ask us to care for those around us and sometimes very far away.
Daily you give us opportunities to do spiritual checks. Do we act kindly? Do we reach out? Are we loving? Do we share with others? Do we treat all people justly? Do we pray, meditate, and worship regularly in order to keep our spiritual house clean and free of illness of every kind? Are we quiet, silent before you so we can listen for your whisperings?
When we rise in the morning, we can recall to mind what it means to be holy, just, and loving. As we lie in bed at night, we can give thanks for daily help and guidance, for blessings and sacred surprises, and for grace and the ability to forgive others. As we drift off to sleep, we can rest in the care of angels.
Holy and Wondrous God,
thank you
for faith
that moves us
to you.
Thank you
for love
that moves us
to you.
Thank you
for grace
that moves us
to you.
Love always, Andrea
