Dear God,
As I pray asking for a new disposition, I randomly opened my bible confident there would be some word of direction and help. Once again I found my answer from St. Paul. The words lifted from the page. Some excerpts that were particularly helpful from Colossians 3:8-17: "Get rid of these things: anger, passion, and hateful feelings. Put on the new self. This is the new man (woman) which God, its creator, is constantly renewing in his own image. You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Forgive one another. To these add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity. Be thankful. Christ's message, in all its richness, must live in your hearts. Sing psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing to God, with thanksgiving in your hearts. Everything you do or say, then, should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks through him to God the Father."
What better instruction could I have?
Thank you,
Holy God,
for always
leading me
back to you.
Thank you
for words
that stir
the soul
to health
and wholeness.
Thank you
for peace
that comes
when we
turn to you.
Love always, Andrea
