Dearest God,

Although I was exhausted, cranky, and still upset by the shape of our home when we returned to it, my husband and I joined church friends who invited us to a turkey dinner at the Catholic Church.  When we stepped inside, hugs and warm greetings awaited us.  All during the waiting, the sit down and eat, and the get ready and leave time, our friends bathed us in love.  As we drove away we were both changed.  Our dispositions, attitudes, and feelings had been transformed.  While we were eating a delicious Thanksgiving dinner in April, you were healing us.

It is true!  You care for every part of our lives.  When we are sick and need renewed health, you want to heal us.  When we are down and out, you want to lift us up.  When we are brokenhearted, you want to restore the pieces and put them back together again.

Good and Loving God,
thank you
for your
generous love.
Thank you
for arms
that hug us,
for lips
that peck us
on the cheek
and for feet
that are willing
to walk
with us
while you
create miracles
in our souls.

Love always, Andrea
