Dear God,

Sometimes patience can only be found in a sacred treasure box, one stored in heaven for those short on patience.  Sometimes we cannot resolve our own problems without your help.

This week has been stormy.  I have not been able to get yard and garden work done because of rain and wind.  I have worked hard inside; yet, I still have not been able to get everything done.  My osteoarthritis with a twist is in my shoulders, wrists, fingers, knees, feet and toes.  It has all been painful these last few days.

When troubles come, when we can only do so much due to inner and outer situations, we have to turn to you asking for your help.  We have to pause and drink in your spirit knowing you have everything we need.  We have to stop our rushing, our ever-quickening blood pressure, and open our ears to listen for your calming words.  We have to trust you and patient.

O Lord,
I need
your help.
Guide me
to the
quiet place
where I
find you waiting.
Show me
the way
to patience.

Love, Andrea
