Dearest God,

The sanctuary is nearly finished, one room along the spiritual path.  Its quiet peace, mystical beauty, and faith song offers respite, space for silence, prayer, and contemplation, and hope.  It is a true wonder for me.

Since the beginning the ugly, tangled mess of a woods called to me as a partner in creation.  You  lead me to renew it like a soul lost for a long, long time.  You have given me opportunity to listen to nature, to follow its lead, and to labor with your spirit, much like a pregnant woman trying to give birth.  Together it is finding its way to fulfillment.

Each day I work in the spiritual garden, I find great pleasure as I listen for your voice or watch for a sign of your presence in nature.  Although I am very weary at day's end, I breathe in your spirit and know I have worked for your kingdom come.

Holy Father,
thank you
for entrusting me
with important work.
Thank you
for your spirit
that calls
to us.
Thank you
for faith
that challenges us
to walk
in the garden
of faith
with you.

Love, Andrea
