Dear God,

Choir rehearsal is like a 90-minute living read of your word.  The songs, the lyrics, melodies, and harmonies, unfold like a heavenly visit.  Living words sung to a living God.

With a family embroiled in conflict, I found myself rejoicing in my soul as we sang a line from Ken Medema's song, With Every Breath,"...view the bright day all the night long...".  Such words of truth, hope, and faith.  In faith with hope, we do view the bright day all the night long.  The light shines bright even when darkness comes.  The divine light of Christ always radiates even in the darkest of darkness.  Hope is born out of the darkness when the light steadily glows because faith is present.  We can sing this and believe it because the light gives us hope but also because hope gives us faith.

Truly you are the son of God.  What joy comes when we sing out our faith to you.

Thank you
for light
that forever shines.
Thank you
for hope.
Thank you
for faith.

Love, Andrea
