Dear God,

In our covenant group conference call this morning, we gathered in silent reflection, devotion, and prayer.  We called to you to spiritually lead us in our sharing.  As always we opened our minds, hearts, and souls to recognize your spirit presence.  Although we came together from three different states, Illinois, Indiana, and Maine, we felt near to you and one another, a constant every Wednesday morning.

During our conversation you came to us through insight. Your wisdom prevailed as we listened for your voice and heard it in our midst.  Although the time was challenging in our depths, you inspired us to realize we are not trapped into boxes built by others.  We have free movement with and by your spirit.  In our perplexing conditions you teach us to recognize we have the ability and skill to reframe our situations.  While we may feel pressured to believe, to behave, and to operate in a particular way, you show us the gifts of your spirit to overcome our difficulties.  You alone, O Lord, have the power to change us for your good and we are grateful!

Holy Spirit God,
thank you
for power
that heals,
mends, and transforms.
Thank you
for compassionate love
that desires
to change us.
Thank you
for spirit gifts
that enable us
to follow
your will.
