Dear God,

To accompany another to the throne of your grace is a spectacular sight.  To witness the changing of a single heart, the shifting of a mindset, and the surrender of a soul is a strange and glorious event.  To stand in your living, loving presence is like drinking from a cold mountain stream when you're really, really parched.

Retreats are pilgrimages of faith.  They are intended to take us some place.  They are meant to lead us to turning points where we may rise to higher levels of faith, joy, and peace. 

I watched as two women in particular began their personal journeys of faith on retreat.  I observed them as they were enraptured by your love and mercy.  Their hearts were open, hungry, and ready for you.  As they found you waiting, they filled up and spilled over with joy.

Eternal God,

journeys of faith,
that move us
closer to you.

for blessings
that meet blessings
when faith
is alive
to bless.
Thank you
for your presence
that never disappoints.
